Suncoast Marine Group is an authorized Tidewater Boats dealer in Sarasota, Florida, offering new center consoles and Carolina Bay models for fishing, cruising, and boating along Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Shop versatile inshore and bay boats as well as offshore-focused center consoles equipped with Yamaha power, premium electronics, fishing features, and family-friendly layouts. Our team can help you compare Tidewater models, horsepower options, available equipment, and current in-stock inventory to find the right boat for the way you spend time on the water.
Whether you’re shopping for an in-stock Tidewater in Sarasota, considering a trade, or planning a custom order, Suncoast Marine Group can help you through the entire process—from choosing the right model to service and support after the sale.
Yes. Tidewater builds center consoles and bay boats designed for a combination of fishing, cruising and family boating. For Sarasota-area boaters, the right model depends on whether you spend most of your time in Sarasota Bay, the Intracoastal, nearshore waters or farther offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. Suncoast Marine Group can help match the hull, size and power package to how you actually plan to use the boat.
The Carolina Bay series is designed for versatility in shallower bay and inshore environments while still providing the size and capability for larger water. Tidewater’s CC Adventure models use a deeper-V hull design that is better suited to buyers who expect to spend more time running offshore or in rougher Gulf conditions. Your normal fishing grounds and boating style should determine which hull is the better fit.
For primarily inshore fishing, sandbar trips and Sarasota Bay boating, a Carolina Bay can be an excellent choice. If you regularly run into the Gulf or place a higher priority on offshore capability and rough-water ride, a Tidewater CC may be a better fit. Many Sarasota buyers need a boat capable of doing both, which is why we recommend choosing the boat based on where you expect to spend most of your time.
Both are versatile bay boats, but the 2500 Carolina Bay gives you more overall boat, beam, horsepower capability and usable space. The 2300 Carolina Bay can be easier to trailer, store and handle while still offering plenty of fishing capability. If you regularly carry more passengers, equipment or fish bigger water, the additional size of the 2500 can be valuable.
Choose based on where you boat rather than simply choosing the larger boat. The 232 CC has a deeper-V hull designed with offshore and rougher-water performance in mind. The 2500 Carolina Bay has a shallower deadrise and is designed to provide excellent bay and inshore versatility while still being a substantial 25-foot boat. We can compare both based on fishing style, family use, draft, storage, towing and offshore plans.
The 232 CC is a 23-foot-class center console designed to combine fishability with family comfort and offshore capability. Whether it is the right offshore boat for you depends on where you plan to fish, expected sea conditions, passenger load and your experience level. For Sarasota-area buyers who want a manageable center console that can fish offshore while still being practical for everyday boating, the 232 CC deserves a close look.
SeaKeeper Ride is a vessel attitude control system that automatically makes rapid adjustments while the boat is underway to help manage pitch, roll and overall ride characteristics. It can make a noticeable difference in comfort and control, particularly when conditions become choppy. SeaKeeper Ride is available on a number of current Tidewater models and is standard equipment on the 2027 Tidewater 232 CC.
The best horsepower depends on the boat, passenger load and how you plan to use it. A buyer focused on cruising may have different needs than someone carrying fishing gear, running offshore or prioritizing acceleration and performance. We recommend looking at the complete boat-and-engine combination rather than automatically choosing either the smallest or largest horsepower available.
Both can be appropriate depending on your priorities. A Yamaha 250 can provide a strong balance of performance and operating cost, while moving to a 300 can provide additional acceleration and performance when the boat is heavily loaded. The 232 CC is rated for up to 300 horsepower, so we can help compare the two based on your normal passenger load and boating style.
Tidewater’s CC Adventure models emphasize fishability while still providing family comfort. The LXF models place additional emphasis on luxury, seating and family-oriented use while retaining the center-console layout and fishing capability. For buyers who fish heavily, a CC may make more sense; buyers who want fishing capability but expect to spend significant time cruising with family and friends should also consider an LXF.
Absolutely. Modern Tidewater center consoles are designed for much more than fishing. Depending on the model and configuration, features can include comfortable bow seating, rear seating, stereo systems, freshwater systems, enclosed head options, sun protection and swim access. A properly configured Tidewater can transition from offshore fishing in the morning to cruising or a sandbar afternoon with the family.
Start with how many people you normally carry, where you boat, how far offshore you intend to travel, where the boat will be stored and whether you plan to trailer it regularly. A 23-foot boat can be easier to tow and handle, while moving into the 25- to 27-foot range generally provides more cockpit space, storage, fuel capacity and big-water capability. Bigger isn’t automatically better—the right boat is the one that fits how you will actually use it.
Look beyond cosmetic condition. Check engine hours and service history, inspect the hull and running surface, review electrical systems and electronics, inspect upholstery and hardware, and determine how the boat was stored and used. A professional inspection and engine evaluation can be especially valuable on boats that have seen regular saltwater use.
Yes. Suncoast Marine Group provides ongoing marine service and support from our Sarasota location. Choosing a dealer capable of supporting the boat after the sale is an important part of the buying decision, particularly for customers who boat regularly in saltwater.
Buying from a local servicing dealer gives you a nearby point of contact for maintenance, engine service, parts, troubleshooting and future boating needs. Tidewater itself recommends purchasing through your local servicing dealer to help ensure support throughout the life of the boat. At Suncoast Marine Group, our goal is to remain a resource for our customers well beyond the day the boat is delivered.
